It all started as a kid on the back of my dad’s Harley. The freedom that came from that sound, the feeling of just hitting the road and feeling free, the feeling of raw power underneath of you… Is all apart of the beginning. My philosophy is no different. Behind the wheel of a car, the worries of the day seem to fall aside. Clarity begins, and I am free.
My dad was a mechanic and into anything that went fast, was loud or smelled of race gas was what made him tick. That was ingrained in me as a kid and growing up I wanted to be a part of that.
I bought a 1993 Mazda MX-6 in September of 2010, Joined up on the forums shortly following to help diagnose problems and see what people were doing with the car. A true late-comer to the platform but destined to learn so much more as the years went on. Absolutely everything I know and have learned about cars has been hands on learning with this car, Shortly after my dad passed away unexpectedly I hit the ground running, while trying to reconcile our tumultuous relationship, and wanting to connect with his memory.
My reason for becoming active, is to share my journey and passion with others. I also believe information should be free and on such a niche platform it can be hard to find. If I cannot give you the information you need, I can likely find you a person who can. My philosophy about cars is simple, It doesn’t matter what you drive, or what you ride. If it’s yours and you love it, make it yours.
